Academic Advisors

The Kahlert School of Computing undergraduate academic advisors are available to answer questions regarding schedule plans, registration for classes, and degree requirements, as well as help resolving any problems a student may be experiencing in their academic progress.

Students should visit their academic advisor at least once a year to verify that they are on track for graduation. Appointments are required.

Academic Advisors

The Kahlert School of Computing academic advisors are here to help you succeed in your undergraduate career. They can help you in a variety of ways, including:

  • Getting into the SD major
  • Transfering to the U
  • The pre-major decision to choose software development as your career
  • Schedule planning and verifying your required courses and program of study
  • Suggesting general education courses
  • Helping you deal with stress and other problems
  • Graduation clearance
  • First-year, second-year, and undeclared mandatory advising

Director of Undergraduate Studies (DUGS)

The Director and Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Kahlert School of Computing works closely with students and faculty to make sure that the undergraduate program provides a top quality experience.

Students who are experiencing varied circumstances are encouraged to speak with the DUGS to help find their best path forward.
