Academic Advisors

The School of Computing undergraduate academic advisors are available to answer questions regarding schedule plans, registration for School of Computing classes, and degree requirements, as well as help resolving any problems a student may be experiencing in their academic progress.

Students should visit their academic advisor at least once a year to verify that they are on track for graduation. Appointments are required.

SoC Academic Advisors

The School of Computing academic advisors are here to help you succeed in your undergraduate career. They can help you in a variety of ways, including:

  • Getting into the CS major or minor
  • Transfering to the U
  • The pre-major decision to choose computer science as your career
  • Schedule planning and verifying your required courses and program of study
  • Suggesting general education courses
  • Helping you deal with stress and other problems
  • Graduation clearance
  • First-year, second-year, and undeclared mandatory advising
